Day 1 - Activity 1

Today I had to find three interesting facts about people of New Zealand.

The first fact is that 5% of the population of New Zealand are human, and the rest are animals!  That is a lot of animals.

The second fact is that there are more people living in Auckland than in the whole of the South Island!  No wonder there are so many cars.

The third fact is that New Zealander's have won more Olympic medals per capita (which means for each person in the population when you compare it to other countries) than any other country; which means that we are pretty good at sports as a nation.

  1. Kia ora Jedida and welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme! It is so exciting to see that you have joined us this year.

I really enjoyed reading through your first activity post. I learned a lot from it. In fact, I did not know that New Zealand has won more Olympic medals per capita than any other country. That is quite an amazing feat!

I hope that you will continue to participate in the Winter Learning Journey programme over the next few weeks. We are really looking forward to reading your blogs and posting comments!!

    Cheers,
    Rachel
