Tonga is a Country in Oceania. Tonga’s capital city is Nuku'alofa, which is located on the main
island, Tongatapu. The three main islands are Tongatapu, Ha'apai, and Vava'u. Tonga has 170
islands, and 36 of them are inhabited.
Tonga’s population is 107,197. Tonga and New Zealand have a long history together. Tonga has
a king named Tupou VI. Tupou VI has been the king of Tonga since 2012. Before him, was his
brother George Tupou V. George Tupou V was the King of Tonga from when his father,
Tāufaʻāhau Tupou IV passed away in 2006 until he himself passed away six years later. The last
queen of Tonga was Queen Salote Tupou III, who’s father was Tupou III.

Tonga exports squash, fish, vanilla beans, root crops, domain names. Tonga’s main export
partners are South Korea, the United States, New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, American Samoa,
and Australia. The main imports of Tonga are Poultry Meat , Cars , Sheep and Goat Meat ,
Electrical Control Boards , and Frozen Bovine Meat
The main religion in Tonga is Protestant by 64.1%. The main language they speak in Tonga, is
Tongan. One of the most valued things in a Tongan household is culture. Culture is about things
like music, dancing, food, language, and more.
Tonga’s currency is Tongan Pa’anga. In Tonga, you can swim with whales, experience the
Mapu 'A Vaea blowholes (Nature preserve in Tonga,) Swim or watch the sunset at Ha'atafu
Beach, catch a ferry to Pangaimotu. It seems like there’s a lot to do in Tonga. Tonga is another
Pacific country with clear blue water at beaches, and lots of different types of food, and lots of
culture.
