Story Name: East German Childhood
Original storyteller: Uli Hartung
Story Writer: Lucy Corry

                              East German Childhood Review:
This story start off by saying something about the Berlin wall. About how it was made on august 12 1961, and by then Uli Hartung was sixteen years old. The next paragraph (the original start,) starts of talking about Uli's family. Her older sister, her mum, and her dad. In this paragraph, we are also informed of her parents careers. Her Mum was a veterinarian researcher, and her Dad was a doctor. I think that this is a good way to start paragraph because she is informing things that may be useful for different parts of the story.

Firstly, in the second paragraph, it shows/talks about German history throughout the 1900's. This paragraph includes a couple of sentences about the second world war (which is of course very useful,) and also facts about how Germany was once split into 4 parts.  I think that it's also great to include things about Uli's country, and not just the things that happened while she was growing up. I also think that showing the times.years during these events are very necessary as well.

Next, most of these paragraphs regard most of her memories from her childhood. I think that this is also very necessary because when you write something, you kind of have to relate it to the title, and I think that Lucy Corry did a great job of this. I also like how she put in the before, during, and after all in this one story. Also explaining the food situation, and her feelings.

Overall, I think that Lucy Corry did an amazing job writing this story, and Uli Hartung did an amazing job living it. I definitely learnt a lot of new things by reading this story, and it's a true story, those ones are even better! I give this reading a five out of five.
