Fiafia

There I sat, watching the Fiafia, with butterflies in my stomach. I was feeling nervous which made me tremble. When it was our turn to dance I felt overjoyed and excited.

As I sat there in the dark I watched the amazing performances with the loud stomping music. While I was supporting my friends and whanau everyone was cheering. I got caught up in the amazing moment.

Under the water I swam like an arrow. Swimming to the Island I swung my arms and kicked my legs. I love swimming I wish I could go swimming everyday.   

The frog

Floating on a leaf the cricket was resting. The slimy frog was gripping onto the tree trying to catch his prey. The frog outstretched his tongue to eat the cricket.

The New Zealand Flag

New Zealanders have begun voting on whether to change their flag from a design which features the British Union Jack to one which features a silver fern. Some people say that the current flag is too similar to Australia’s flag. Also, New Zealand is no longer a part of Britain and we need a flag that represents our nation.

The Blob

Nestled within the blue and yellow pillow eager children anticipated the ride. The countdown was on. 3 2 1 .Terror mixed with excitement was written all over their faces as they were catapulted towards the sky.

Spinning, twirling and tumbling the children twisted their way into the air. As they plummeted towards the water their faces grinned in delight .Splash.’’Can I have another go please ?’’
